Recently Mrs. Lindsay Thompson and Mr. Clayton Woodfin, teachers at Thomas County Middle School, completed STEM certification.  STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) has been a recent focus in many states and training has been offered by the Georgia Youth Science & Technology Centers in cooperation with the University System of Georgia.  Mrs. Thompson and Mr. Woodfin completed the STEM Academy on April 28^th.  The STEM Academy included learning the methodology of STEM classes and using that knowledge to teach lessons in their classroom.  Lessons were observed and critiqued by STEM Academy faculty.
