Zulu Company at Thomas County Middle School visited the Kolomoki Mounds on September 23^rd.  We learned more about the Woodland and Mississippian Native Americans living in Georgia.  This trip reinforced our learning of these prehistoric Indian cultures living in Georgia prior to European contact.  At Kolomoki, we were able to hike the Temple Mound, see various mounds, view an excavation of one of the mounds, and see a weapons demonstration along with lunch by Lake Kolomoki.
