The traditional classroom has seen a transition from chalk boards to white boards, and now teachers and students will experience SMART Boards in the classroom. TCUE/TCMS teachers begin receiving training this summer on the use of SMART technology for their instructional planning and unit writing. According to SMART Technologies, the use of interactive boards “improves academic achievement and instills a lifelong interest in science, technology, engineering and math.” TCMS/TCUE teachers are excited about the opportunity to have another tool to prepare students on the journey to increase student achievement. Teachers are also excited to provide meaningful instructional experiences via technology!
