Five Thomas County Central students advanced to state level competition after placing first in the ABAC Regional Science and Engineering Fair held in Tifton. The state competition will be held at the University of Georgia, March 21-23. First place winners who qualified to advance to state are Noah Harris, Emily Kornegay, Hayes Nelson, Natalie Smith, and Sunnie Dee Wynn. Second place winners at the regional science fair were Lizzie Alford, Ben Barwick, Garrett Crozier, Ashley Elliott, Addison Frasch, Jacob Hancock, Shelby Howard, Mallorie Johnson, Jacob Milam, Chloe Pickens, Katy Simmons, and Logan Stamps. Third place winners were Aspen Barnes, Kirsten Freeman, Andrew Hoyt, Aubrey McCorvey, Peyton Singletary, Tyler West, and Chandler Wilson.
