On Thursday, November 14 Thomas County Central was host to the annual Special Olympic Winter Games. More than 150 local students participated in the games which was conducted by the Thomasville YMCA and the Thomas County Olympics. Students also participated in events at Rose City Bowl.

Students from Ms. Betty Worthington's and Mr. Todd Wilson's classes participated in events exhibiting various basketball skills. TCCHS also formed a basketball team that was coached by the TCCHS varsity girls' basketball team. They competed in full court games against teams from Thomasville City Schools. "The girls' basketball team has been working with and training our players for several months," said Ms. Worthington. Congratulations to all participants for a job well done.
