Description:

"The Internet has drastically changed the way that children interact with the world. They have access to in-depth knowledge, tools to express their creativity, and people from all over the world" (Netsmartz.org, 2016).  Children come in to kindergarten being able to use Ipads and computers better than the teacher sometimes. They are constantly using their parents smart phones or many have their very own device, it is very important to teacher your child about the dangers and risks of putting too much information on the interent.

As children begin to learn how to use digital tools and manuver around websites they are becoming a digital citizen.  Teaching a child to be a good digital citizen means that they "have an understanding or the ability to use digital devices" (Mauthoor, A. 2016).

This webpage is designed for you to help your child learn about Digital Literacy and Online Safety.
