MathGames.com, by TeachMe, is an online suite of internet math games, available for teachers, students, and parents to use inside and outside the classroom. Covering math concepts in Pre-K to 9th grade and searchable by Common Core State Standards, The site also has progress reports and dashboards for parents and teachers to track individual student performance.

Adapted Mind    

On this site, you can click on the grade and choose either Math or Reading. A list of categories are then displayed with a ton of individual skills under each category. This is great because it allows students to work on specific skills that they are having a hard time with. These are not "games", but are individual questions listed one at a time. You start on the lowest level and work your way up until you have mastered the skill. The levels are newbie, rookie, rock steady, comet club, 15 right, and they continue on as you progress through more skills. There is also a link to video lessons so that students can watch the video prior to completing the lesson. Most of these videos are links to KhanAcademy videos.

BBC 

BBC is a fun, interactive website for Science.  This is a direct link to many topics that we cover in Science this year, such as States of Matter.  If you click on Ages 10-11 on the left, then you can also find topics such as Physical and Chemical Changes, Circuits, and Microorganisms.  You can manipulate the games to see how each of the items work as it leads you through a detailed demonstration on each of the topics.

Discovery Education  

Discovery Education is an amazing website packed with homework help for Science along with many fun interactives.  There are links to amazing videos at the bottom for Bill Nye the Science Guy, a link to the Myth Busters website, the Jeff Corwin Experience website, and Virtual Labs.  This site is so much fun, you won't want to miss out!

Internet4Classrooms.com   

This is an AMAZING website with a wealth of information. You can choose the Domain: Geometry, Measurement & Data, Numbers and Operations in Base Ten, Numbers & Operations - Fractions, and Operations & Algebraic Thinking, then click on the standard that you are looking for . . . all of the 5th grade standards for Math are listed! You can then choose any of the links for that standard. Examples for each link include a game link for students to practice the skill, printable worksheets, graphic organizers, interactive whole-group games, and video tutorials for the skill. There is a TON of resources on this site. It should be listed as one of the top pics to use!!!

This is a website that gives students access to tons of practice problems for every topic in 5th grade Math. It is categorized into Main Topics like Place Values and Number Sense, and then is further broken down into individual skills that students can work through problems to master each topic. As students progress through the topic, the questions get more difficult to help with full mastery of each topic.

Khan Academy   

This is an awesome site to watch tutorial videos & complete practice tests for Math and Science.  You can choose to create a login, and Khan Academy will monitor your learning.  Khan awards you with badges as to how much you are learning, and your badge progresses as you complete more videos/lessons This site has multiple resources for each topic learned categorized by grade level and subject. It is a great resource for students to use for homework help, or for parents to use to brush-up on the skill to be able to help their student with homework.

MathChimp.com  

This is a website full of games for student learning. Students can "play games" to practice the skills of 5th grade Math standards. You can choose by Domain if you know what you are looking for, or you can scroll down and click on the games listed in the Master List. Each of the links directs you to a different website for the game.

MathNook.com   

This is a fun, interactive website with a lot of games to practice Math skills. You can click on 5th grade and it will narrow down the choices of games to focus on 5th grade standards only. This site also has a worksheet generator, printable worksheets, tutorials, videos, printable math stations. There is also a link to the Adapted Mind website that is geared towards Math and Reading and has tons of lessons and games listed by topic.

Math Playground.com  

This is a fun, interactive website that allows students to play "games" to practice skills for 5th grade Math standards. The games are listed by category, such as 'Numbers and Operations', then individual skills are grouped under each category.

PARCC Games.com  

On this site, you can choose games in Math in grades K-6 or Reading in grades K-4. Although there are only 10 games listed for 5th grade Math, they are all fun, challenging, and very helpful games. When you click on the topic, it redirects you to a different site to play the game, such as XPMath.com, Math-Play.com, or BuzzMath.com, among the many other sites. If you click on the standard, it redirects you to www.corestandards.org the the 5th grade Math page, where all of the standards are listed, as well as other helpful resources listed to help you better understand the standards.

PBS Kids Zoom  

On this site, there are tons of fun science experiments, listed by category, then broken down into individual topics.  You'll have so much fun, you won't realize you're learning!!!

Test Prep Review   

This website gives you sample test questions for 5th grade math common core standards to prepare students for the end of the year testing. Students can complete the sample questions and then check their answers with the provided answer key. There are also tons of other practice tests available for standardized tests.
