Spanish I is an entry level high school foreign language course that explores the Spanish language through communication, culture, connections, comparisons, and communities. In order for a student of a foreign language to enjoy success, there are several important suggestions:

1. Study the vocabulary every night. Study the vocabulary from native language to the new language.
2. Take notes every day from the information provided about the new language.
3. Review these notes (and your vocabulary) every night.
4. Use what you do understand to help fill in the gaps where you do not understand as well.
5. Develop a high tolerance for ambiguity.
