Thomas County Central High School student academic achievement for the second nine weeks of the 2014-2015 school year was recently rewarded with a special lunch trip.
Students who made all As on their report cards had the opportunity to participate in the All A Lunch, held Jan. 27 at Gateway Shopping Center.
Participants were grateful of the reward for the hard work they put into their grades throughout the nine weeks.
“I think the All A Lunch is a great reward for those who have worked hard during the nine weeks,” senior Ida Warme said. “They get something to look forward to.”
It’s been a tradition at TCCHS for the past few years that every nine weeks the reward for an All A report card is the chance to eat lunch off campus at different locations around the community. School administrators accompany the students, who get to choose from a selection of restaurants at the location.
This time, the lunch was held at Gateway and students were able to choose from a variety of restaurants, including Hip Hop Fish & Chicken, Ruby Tuesday, Taco Bell, Ice N’ Creamy and New Hong Kong.
“Hard work pays off,” 11th grader Jenna Clark said.
