The City of Thomasville Charity Board made a generous donation to Thomas County Central High School’s annual Shop with a Yellow Jacket, or SWAYJ, event fund Tuesday, Dec. 4. Pictured are (left to right) City of Thomasville Charity Board member Melissa Creel, who presented the check, TCCHS Principal Trista Jones and Leonard Guyton, TCCHS assistant principal and SWAYJ coordinator. The holiday tradition features high school students who’ve raised money to fund teams taking select system primary and elementary school students Christmas shopping at Walmart. Students then return to TCCHS and wrap each gift. This year’s SWAYJ event will take place Saturday, Dec. 15.
