Description:

Welcome to AMDM at Bishop Hall

Welcome to Advanced Mathematical Decision Making (AMDM). This is usually the 4th and final high school mathematics class, usually taken after Algebra 2. AMDM is the only 4th year option for math that Bishop Hall offers, though some students decide to take College Algebra at Southern Regional Technical College or Thomas University for their 4th math class. Regardless of how you got here, I wanted to go over a few ground rules for how this course is organized for you.

1. All course content is found in Moodle. This includes videos for notes and quizzes for practice.

2. You are welcome to use a calculator for my class. I recommend the Desmos Scientific Calculator and the Desmos Graphing Calculator. Both calculators are free and can be found at https://www.desmos.com/. Most smartphones also have free apps for these calculators in the app store.

3. You are expected to take notes. Please print the guided notes for each unit at the beginning of the unit and fill them out as you work through the lessons. All quizzes are open notes so having good notes is helpful. Also taking notes helps your brain practice doing math the correct way.
