Thomas County Middle School students recently competed in the state competition for The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Junior American Citizens annual competition. This year’s theme was “100th Anniversary of World War I—Service on the Homefront.” TCMS had sixteen first place winners from the regional competition who advanced to state. Of those sixteen who entered, fourteen entrants won first place at the state level and will advance to the Southeastern United States Competition to be held later this month.
