Thomas County Schools is committed to developing a comprehensive health and wellness program for our district.  The hope and challenge is to implement a whole-body approach to wellness that will impact our students, our staff, and will spill over into our community at large.

P-EBT flyer

The Georgia Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS) is partnering with the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) to provide food benefits to families through the Pandemic-Electronic Benefit Transfer Program (P-EBT). The P-EBT program is designed to support children who were eligible for free or reduced lunch during the 2019-2020 school year.

September is National Childhood Obesity Month About 1 in 5 (19%) children in the United States has obesity. While there is no simple solution, there are many ways communities can support children with their journey to good health.


Many childhood cancers have much higher survival rates when they are diagnosed in the early stages of the disease.  It is recommended that children have regular medical check-ups, and that parents pay close attention to the development of unusual signs or chronic symptoms
