Seamless Summer Option Meals

NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH/SCHOOL BREAKFAST PROGRAMS

The Georgia Department of Education School Nutrition Program announces that Georgia schools may participate in the Seamless Summer Option for the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs in school year 2022. A school district or a single school may offer meals at no charge to all students. Households are not required to complete meal applications to qualify for meals at no cost. ____________________________________________________________________________

In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA.

Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information (e.g. Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language, etc.), should contact the Agency (State or local) where they applied for benefits. Individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have speech disabilities may contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at (800) 877-8339. Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English.

To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found online at: http://www.ascr.usda.gov/complaint_filing_cust.html, and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form. Congratulations to our TCMS Student Chef Team for winning this year's competition with their Tri-Color Bake which included Georgia grown Vidalia onions, Harvest of the Month zucchini and squash, topped with mozzarella cheese and Italian bread crumbs. By participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), our food service receives support from the U.S. Department of Agriculture through the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs.  Knowing that children need healthy meals to learn, Thomas County Schools offers healthy meals every school day at no charge to your child(ren).

Online Cafeteria Payments - Set up using School ID

Thomas County Schools is pleased to continue the Online payment program (MySchoolBucks) for parents and students. The system is available now in each of our schools. This is a great way to have access to your child's meal process each and everyday. We discourage any charging of school lunches.
