Weekly Meals for Remote/Virtual Learners
Thank you for letting us meet the nutritional needs of your child(ren) this school year. We take our role as school nutrition professionals seriously and hope that we have helped nourish your child(ren) while at home during this unprecedented time.
Our last Wednesday distribution of five breakfasts and five lunches for remote/virtual learners will be May 19th. The YMCA of Thomasville will begin their Summer Food Program on Monday, June 2nd and it will run through July 28th.
During the summer, the Y will provide meals to all children to the age of 18 without charge. Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex age, or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals will be provided at sites throughout the county at specified times for. For more information about the Y’s Summer Food Program, please visit their website or contact Cindy Quigg at 226-3446.
