Students from three TCMS Lego League teams took part in a once in a lifetime field trip opportunity on Friday, September 6, 2019. The group of twenty-four students met with Thomasville's City Engineer and Planner while touring downtown's West Jackson's streetscape construction site.

This trip was used to support this year's Lego League challenge of "City Shapers". The theme asks students to think like scientists and engineers in order to solve real-world problems within city development. After getting a behind the scenes look at Thomasville's engineering departments in action, the students also toured the local landfill.
