Inspiring Students to Become Entrepreneurs

"I Can, I Will, and I Shall!"

Sharon Edwards recently encouraged the future entrepreneurs in Ms. Crawford's 5th grade class at Thomas County Middle School to believe in their dream. Edwards, the founder and CEO of the Community Outreach Training Center of Thomasville, was excited about sharing information about entrepreneurship. Edwards discussed the process of developing business plans and the significance of "writing the vision."

Students shared their business ideas while earning "frog" money and making "monkey" progress. Edwards instilled the fact that business owners might fail, but failure could lead to the first step in making progress.

The students will present their entrepreneur "Shark Tank" projects later this month, and Edwards plans to attend. The projects are due September 27th.
