Purple with Purpose Women's International Day Celebration

Thomas County Schools Seal

The TCMS Girls' Conditioning Students recently had a fun-filled day with Coach Deborah Anderson with girl empowerment activities in honor of Women's International Day on March 8, 2021.

Girl empowerment activities included:

*Partner Squats with Purple Balloons

*Leg Lifts with Purple Balloons

*Purple Balloon Pop Competition

Each activity had learning concepts about competition and teamwork to apply in real-life situations. Girls' Conditioning students had to work hard throughout the activities to keep their purple balloons inflated. The purple balloon symbolizes 'purpose.'

Students learned that one must be determined, focused, and strategic in protecting your purpose in life. They also learned to "bee your best" on purpose in class to protect your future; "bee positive" and don't deflate your purpose with negative thinking with actions; and to "bee bright, brave, & beautiful for life!"
