Congratulations to the TCMS 4-H’ers who placed recently at the 2022 Southwest District Project Achievement competition at Rock Eagle:

Zavier Bristol - Jr. Wildlife (8th Grade) – 1st Place

Lee Halle - Jr. Cat Care (7th Grade) – 1st Place

Jordan Wallace – Jr. Vet Science (7th Grade) – 1st Place

Ziara McCoy - Jr. Team Sports (7th Grade) - 2nd Place

D'atra Lomax - Jr. General Recreation (8th Grade) – 3rd

Jackson Carter - Jr. PA Instrumental (8th Grade) – 3rd

Anna Argo - Jr. Horse (7th Grade) – 4th Place

Thomas County 4-H member Ziara McCoy was elected to serve as the Vice President of the Southwest District Junior Board of Directors for 2022-2023. McCoy is a 7th-grade student at Thomas County Middle School and the daughter of Cierrea Thomas.

The 2022 Junior Horse Quiz Bowl Team recently traveled to Rock Eagle to compete in the Georgia State 4-H Horse Quiz Bowl Competition. The top 5 Junior Teams were selected to compete based on scores from an online Horse Smarts Quizlet Test. The Thomas County team was named 2022 State Champions and was the only team in the state to go undefeated in every round. Team Members include:

Anna Argo TCMS 7th grade

Kira Jenkins TCMS 8th grade

Jenna McBee (Attends Georgia Christian School 7th grade)

Alternate: Dakota Law TCMS 6th grade
