Students Connect through Zoom with KSU Museum Educator

Students in Mrs. Floyd's Georgia Studies classes recently participated in a Zoom program facilitated by the museum educator from Kennesaw State University Museum of History and Holocaust Education. This program highlighted the many contributions of Georgia during World War II. Following a brief overview of Georgia before World War II, the presentation focused on the unique wartime roles of different locations in the state. To understand how Georgia changed the course of World War II, students listened to and analyzed the stories of individuals who lived in Georgia during the war. Students were able to respond to the museum educator through the use of a Nearpod presentation and their Chromebooks. The program was part of the students' standards on Georgia's contributions to WWII.
