Science Fair Winners

The Thomas County Middle School Science Fair was held virtually this year. Winners from the school fair moved on to compete in the Region Science Fair held at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) on February 13, 2022. School-level winners included:

6th grade

8th grade

1st: Peppermint Pests, Kenley Brinson

2nd: Do Hermit Crabs have a sense of style? Katelyn Bradshaw

3rd: Solar Protection Fun, Jaida Pinkins

SF Local Overall 2022

 

The Overall TCMS Science Fair winner earns the Jackie Winchester Award. This award, donated by Sunnie Wynn, honors the late Mrs. Jackie Winchester who taught for over 40 years and was a great advocate of the Science Fair. This year’s winner of the Jackie Winchester Award was Kenley Brinson.

First Place Overall Winner was awarded to Clay Johnson, and Kim Simmons received the Teacher Plaque.
