On Saturday, April 16, 2022, several TCMS band students traveled to Ware County High School in Waycross, GA to participate in the GMEA Solo & Ensemble Festival. Students prepared various solos, duets, trios, quartets, quintets and other ensembles to perform live before a judge. Students were assessed on tone, technique, intonation, interpretation, and musical effect.

William Majors, TCMS Band Director stated, "Of the numerous solos and ensembles performed by our students, TCMS brought home 35 Superior ratings and 10 Excellent ratings. Overall, the process of preparing and performing music individually and in small groups is an especially enriching experience for our students. We are very proud of the hard work they put in as individuals to become better musicians."
