On May 7, 2022, first-year band students selected from band programs across Southwest Georgia participated in the GMEA Elementary Honor Band Clinic at Tift County High School in Tifton, GA. Thomas County Middle School had thirteen students participate in this annual event. Students rehearsed three to four selections of music for approximately six hours which culminated in a live concert for family and friends. These young students had a great performance and learned a great deal in a short amount of time.
