The Thomas County Middle School Lego League team, The Robotic Coding Creators, recently wrapped up another successful season. The team includes students from fourth through seventh grades, including Raylynn Fykes, Kyndall Hughes, Simeon Sturrup, Zack Christie, Lyra McLain, Kolleen Barber, Harris Palmer, Brennan Josey, Cameron Artz, and Cohen Garbett.

On January 21, 2024, the team placed first at the Lego League Super Region Competition held in Columbus, Georgia at Columbus State University. This first-place achievement earned the team the highly coveted Champion's Award and a secured spot in the FIRST Lego League's State Competition at Georgia Tech. This is the second year in a row that the robotics team has achieved this honor.

On Saturday, February 10, 2024, the team traveled to Georgia Tech where they competed against 30 other top teams from around the state of Georgia. The Robotic Coding creators performed well placing ninth overall in the Robotics Performance category.
