I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Health Behavior and earned my Masters degree in English Language Arts from Thomas University in 2016. I completed my Specialist Degree in coaching pedagogy and Kinesiology from Valdosta State University in the summer of 2020.
Upon graduating with my undergraduate degree, I lived in Orlando Florida before returning to Thomasville, Georgia where I worked as a fitness director for 10+ years. I felt called to teach school and then began aggressively pursuing a career in education. This will be my eleventh year as a teacher. Previously, I taught at both the middle school and high school levels. I taught English Language Arts, Science and Health and P.E.
In addition to teaching, I sponsor the National Junior Honor Society at Thomas County Middle School, and I am the head cheerleading coach for TCCHS and have coached for over ten years. I am so excited that I am a part of Thomas County Schools, as a teacher, NJHS sponsor and cheer coach, and I am so thankful to have an opportunity to give back to the school system, club and cheerleading athletic program that gave so much to me as a youth in Thomasville, Georgia.
