The 2012-2013 Cross Creek cards are still available in our school office. Buying a Cross Creek card has three great benefits—you save money, you help Cross Creek students, and you support our generous local merchants. Selling at the same low price of $5.00 since 1994, Cross Creek cards save you money throughout the year--they pay for themselves the first or second time you use them!

The first Cross Creek cards were sold in 1994, and they have been an important fundraiser for Cross Creek ever since. Since 1994, money from the cards has paid for unfunded extras, including playground equipment and sound amplification equipment. Most of the classrooms at Cross Creek have sound amplification systems, ensuring that every child in the class can hear clearly, no matter where the teacher is standing. This is not only beneficial for hearing impaired students but it is beneficial for all students by making information and instructions clear and keeping students focused on the teacher. Cross Creek adds sound amplification systems every year, so that soon all classrooms will be amplified.

Cross Creek card money funds reading incentives for the Accelerated Reader program. Student goals are set individually, and students earn rewards for gaining their individual goals. Reading celebrations include pizza parties, Hawaii Snow parties, and trips to Gateway Cinemas to see movies.

Cross Creek card money funds many other special programs and materials. Special assembly programs, interactive distance learning programs, musical instruments, art equipment and supplies, and special science activities have all enriched Cross Creek students thanks to money from Cross Creek card sales.
