Cross Creek Elementary students participated in Fire Safety Week by hosting the Thomas County Fire Department.  Firefighters Tony Pope, Chasity Phillips, Joel Reneau, and Damion Ross led demonstrations for the students and reviewed fire safety rules.  Students were also able to view the fire truck and emergency vehicle.  Families should have a fire safety plan in the event of a house fire.  Our local fire departments offer free smoke detectors and installation to residents.  Please call 225-4190 if you would like more information about fire detectors.
