Students in Ms. Dorminey and Miss Curry's classes were selected by the Thomasville Center for the Arts to participate in a virtual visit from award-winning author Carole B. Weatherford.  Students joined via Google Meet with Mrs. Weatherford, her son Jeffrey, who illustrates many of her books, and Mrs. Chastain, from Thomasville Center for the Arts. Mrs. Weatherford explained her love for reading and writing, her "Recipe for Success", and encouraged students to keep reading and becoming better writers. Students were able to ask questions of Mrs. Weatherford and Jeffrey that they had about writing, developing stories, and sharing their work.
