Cross Creek Elementary recently held its spelling bee. Mikenna Wilson perfectly spelled the word "cranky" to claim the top spot for third grade. Rafael Rios and Keegan Thornton-Smith were second and third respectively. "Instrument" didn't stop Hollyn Darley from placing first in the fourth-grade competition. Kate Harvey and Lucy Nestale claimed second and third place in the fourth-grade competition. Congratulations to all of our classroom representatives and alternates.  Our fourth-grade winners will compete in January at the county spelling bee.
