Presidents Day Visual and Language Arts Competition

Cross Creek Elementary students submitted outstanding entries for the first Presidents Day Visual and Language Arts competition sponsored by the Jimmy Carter National Historic Park.  The theme of the competition was A Journey of Excellence:  The Extraordinary Life of President Jimmy Carter.  Students were invited to submit an essay, poem, or piece of art on the Life and Legacy of President Jimmy Carter.  Third-grade students who placed in the poetry category of the competition were Brett Smith (First Place), Cain Childs (Second Place), Brooklyn Blodgett (Third Place).  Khloe Barrow placed second in the essay category and third in the visual arts category.  Ashton Thomas placed third in the essay category.  Congratulations to all of our winners.
