Several of our Cross Creek students submitted entries into the school-level competition for this year’s Young Georgia Authors writing competition. Isabel Jenkins’s (third-grade) and Emma Brannen’s (fourth-grade) writings were selected for entry in this year’s contest. Each year, students across the state of Georgia participate in this contest, which is sponsored by the Georgia Department of Education. Original student writing in the categories of poetry, short stories, and personal narratives (to name a few) may be submitted. School level entries are next judged at the RESA level with other entries in our region.  We wish our students the best of luck!
