Cross Creek is proud to announce that Mrs. Jamie Whigham has been selected as Teacher of the Year for 2022. Her teaching career began at Cross Creek Elementary in 2014 after earning her bachelor’s degree from Thomas University. She has since earned her master’s degree from Georgia Southwestern University.

Colleagues of Whigham shared that it is evident that she cares about her students and goes beyond what is required to benefit students. Whigham’s instructional practices allow her to connect with her third-grade students as they take ownership in their learning. She is always willing to collaborate with her peers.

“I feel incredibly honored and blessed to have this opportunity to represent my school.  Cross Creek is the place where I have grown as a teacher and a person as a whole,” stated Whigham.
