The first Cross Creek cards were sold in 1994, and they have been an important fundraiser for Cross Creek ever since.  Since 1994, money from the cards has paid for unfunded extras, including playground equipment.

Cross Creek card money funds reading incentives for the Accelerated Reader program.  Student goals are set individually, and students earn rewards for gaining their individual goals.  Reading celebrations include pizza parties, Hawaii Snow parties, and trips to Gateway Cinemas to see movies.

Cross Creek card money funds many other special programs and materials.  Special assembly programs, interactive distance learning programs, musical instruments, art equipment and supplies, and special science activities have all enriched Cross Creek students thanks to money from Cross Creek card sales.
