Welcome to my classroom webpage!

My name is Kelly Owens and I have been teaching for 37 years. Most of those years were spent teaching in Florida where a taught a variety of grade levels and subject areas in special education. Before moving to Ga. six years ago I retired in the state of Florida. 2021/2022 will be my 7th year in this beautiful state. This is my 4th year at Cross Creek Elementary teaching 3rd grade as a inclusion teacher. I have loved every minute of my time here. I truly believe in every child being treated with respect and valued. I strive to encourage and and help my students to find their strengths and build on them. My hope is that one day they will grow and mature into successful, caring, and kind young adults. I look forward to working with your child and helping them to be the best that they can be. 

Other Things About Me!

I am married and have 3 amazing children. My husband is a teacher and a coach in Thomas Co. All 3 of my children are adult age and live on their own. I have 1 cat and mini long haired dachshund. They both are spoiled rotten. I love spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy reading, shopping, baking, cooking, the beach, collecting seashells, puzzles, college football, 70's music, coffee, chocolate, candles, helping others, beautiful sunsets, and a good movie.
