Mrs. Ashlyn's class had a special guest reader during their library time! Macy read to her sister, Mia's class.  Her focus was to read stories that depict a child with a disability.  She hopes this use of representation will lead to normalization of differing abilities.  As she repeated to the children, "I am just different, not wrong." Macy is Miss Empire of the South's Outstanding Teen, part of Miss America organization.  Macy is promoting her Social Impact Initiative, Just Say Hi, which advocates for disability inclusion and representation in media and educates our community about disabilities.
