Legendary coach Ed Pilcher arrived at Thomas County Central in 1991. During his 17 seasons as head coach, the Yellow Jackets never missed the playoffs, played in eight semi-final games and made six championship game appearances, winning five state championship titles. Amassing 169 wins at TCCHS and 250 in his career, Pilcher is the 26th winningest coach in state history and was elected to the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association's Hall of Fame in 2017.
