December Teacher Spotlight: ~Jammin’ with Jamboard~ Congratulations to 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Rosalie Wilson, the Teacher Spotlight recipient for the month of December. Mrs. Wilson is being recognized for the innovative way she integrates technology in her classroom to keep her students actively engaged in learning! Mrs. Wilson uses Jamboard, an online, interactive whiteboard made by Google, to create jams with her students because it gives everyone in her class a shared space to work collaboratively together. Her students use Jamboard on their Chromebooks as they all collaborate in real time on the jam that is displayed on the viewboard in the classroom. Mrs. Wilson said, "Each day after Shared Reading, our class would collaboratively respond to our shared reading text on Jamboard. We analyzed choices made by the author, characters and events, shared predictions, and practiced presenting text evidence."
