Interdisciplinary Learning

Thomas County second graders in Rosalie Wilson’s class at Garrison-Pilcher Elementary School engaged in an interdisciplinary learning experience when writing informational reports about cheetahs. Students practiced their technology skills as they worked on revising and editing digitally using Google Docs. After publishing their writing, they graded it themselves using a rubric. A class celebration was the culminating activity where the students snacked on Cheetos and painted pictures of cheetahs to illustrate their informational texts.
