Thomas County first graders in Jill Grimes's class at Garrison-Pilcher Elementary School were so excited to have their first Media Center visit.  Classes visit the Media Center weekly to have a story read to them, learn about technology, or to engage in Makerspace hands-on activities. Any other day of the week, there is a steady stream of students in and out of the library checking out books to read and enjoy. Reading is the thing at Garrison-Pilcher and faculty and staff love seeing books in the students’ hands.
