Hi! My name is Summer Perry, and I am the Behavior Specialist and 1st grade Special Education Lead.
I graduated from Thomasville High School in 1993 and The University of Georgia in 1998. I also earned my Master's and Specialist's degrees from Georgia Southwestern State University. I am beginning my 24th year in education this year and I am proud to have taught a variety of age groups and learning levels. I began my teaching career in Barrow County, taught in north Georgia for Gwinnett County Schools and taught at Cross Creek for 9 years before coming to Garrison-Pilcher. When my children were young, I wanted to be able to be involved in their learning experiences and served as the Director of Preschool Ministry at First Baptist Church. In this role, I oversaw the Weekday Education Program (1 year old-PreK) for 7 years. I am excited to be part of the Garrison-Pilcher team!
I enjoy spending time with my husband and 4 children, our dogs, Echo and Remi, and reading.
