Congratulations to Tierra Christian and Peyton Barrett for placing 1st and 3rd in the 10th grade Division of the "Plains, Peanuts & a President" postcard contest.

 

Along with 37 other state level winners, the girls will be honored at the “Peanut Festival” in Plains, Georgia during their town parade on Saturday, September 15.  They will meet former President Jimmy Carter, his wife Roslyn, and receive an autographed copy of one of his books, as well as a certificate. 

 

There were more than 8,000 entries this year in grades K-12. The state-wide “Plains, Peanuts & a President” postcard contest is held every September.
