Classroom Discipline Plan

Mrs. Trueman's Classroom Discipline Plan

Dear Parents-

In order to provide all students with the excellent educational environment they deserve, I will be utilizing the following discipline plan within my classroom.  This plan will be in effect at all times.  It is my sincere desire that all students obey the rules so that everyone will have an opportunity to learn in a positive and structured environment.

Rules:

  1. Respect your classmates.  Treat them with kindness in your words and actions.
  2. Keep hands, feet, and other objects to yourself.
  3. Follow directions the first time given.
  4. Raise your hand and wait to be called on before speaking.
  5. Be quiet in lines, hallways, and restrooms.
  6. When the teacher is talking, be quiet and listen.
  7. All assignments and homework will be completed on time. *If student is absent, they will have 5 days to make up any missing assignments.
  8. No electronic devices will be out in class. School provided Chromebooks are the only exception.
  9. No food in class unless otherwise given permission.

Consequences (not relating to electronic devices): *Offenses restart in new nine weeks!*

       1st Offense: Warning

      2nd Offense: Silent Lunch

3rd Offense: Write Up, Silent Lunch, & Parent/Guardian Contact.

4th Offense: Write Up, Silent Lunch, P/G Contact, & ½ Day of Team Time Out

5th Offense: Write Up, Silent Lunch, P/G Contact, & 1 Day of Team Time Out.

      6th Offense: Send to Administrator

Consequences (for electronic devices): *Offenses do NOT restart in new nine weeks!*

1st Offense: Warning – Student will need to put their phone in my lock box and I will hold onto it for the rest of the day.

2nd Offense & On: Device will be taken up and given to the front office where the student can pay $5 or have a parent/guardian come pick it up.

SEVERE DISRUPTION:  If the student chooses to fight, defy the adult in charge, or use inappropriate language, he/she will receive a write up and/or be sent to the administrator’s office.

It is in your child’s best interest that we work together on his/her behavior.  Please review this plan with your child, and we will go over the plan together in detail in class.  We look forward to an excellent year of learning with your help and support!
