TCCHS unites in orange

TCCHS students proudly wear their Unity Day shirts.

Thomas County Central High School Cool 2 Be Kind Club sponsored a “Unity Day” Wednesday, Oct. 24 in honor of National Bullying Prevention Month. Club members sold orange “Unity Day” T-shirts that promoted the day’s mission in advance, and students and staff wore their shirts on the day. Anyone who did not purchase a shirt could still participate in the day by wearing orange. Students and teachers also purchased Cool 2 Be Kind glow in the dark bracelets. This “Unity Day” is one of many activities the club is sponsoring throughout the month, all with the goal to bring awareness to bullying and encourage prevention of it within schools.
