HOSA Awareness

HOSA Week

Thomas County Central High School HOSA Future Health Professionals chapter celebrated National HOSA Week in November. Chapter members conducted various activities, including volunteering to pack weekend supply bags at Backpack Buddies, collecting items for a military care package event, participating in manna drops, and presenting “HOSA Health Moments” on the school’s “Jacket Nation News” show.

HOSA is a global student-led organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, the Department of Health and Human Services, and several federal and state agencies. Its mission is to empower students interested in the healthcare field, not only in knowledge and skill but also in leadership. Georgia HOSA began in 2000 and now boasts more than 15,000 members.
