Kristen Swan, a native of Syracuse, New York, is in her third year as Associate Band Director at Thomas County Central High School, where she teaches Concert Band, Blue Band, and AP Music Theory. She is a graduate of Jacksonville State University (Jacksonville, Alabama), where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Instrumental Music Education. While there, she was a member of the world-renowned Marching Southerners, Chamber Winds, and the JSU Community Orchestra, as well as a member of  Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity and Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society. She began her career 9 years ago as Band Director at MacIntyre Park Middle School and Scholars Academy. She resides in Thomasville, Georgia with her husband Adam Swan (Director of Bands at Thomasville High School), her daughter Ellie, her dog Sassy, and cat Penny.
