Welcome to AP Art History. I am excited to explore the visual, contextual, and comparative aspects of AP Art History.  If a student scores a passing grade on the AP exam (a 3, 4, or 5), he or she will be able to earn college credits.

There are 250+ works of art that we are tested on. We must know what it looks like, who made it, when was it made, where it was from, what purpose it serves, and what is special about it.

* We say “250+” because a decent number of pieces, especially architecture, have multiple images there are actually 403!!

The AP Art History Exam Format

Homework

You will have some form of homework in this class every night. Homework includes, but is not limited to, reading part of the text, looking at Khan Academy, etc. You should be able to get this done in 15-20 minutes a night. While I may not talk about each night’s homework, they are fair game on tests. I generally try to avoid homework over the weekends.
